Event Project No. 1
(Attendee Conference Swag)
Request:
Propose a swag bag for a new cohort launch that would create excitement for government public servants and program partners. Considered the following:
● Budget of $10,000
● 150 swag bags needed
● At least a minimum of 2-3 items in each bag
Response:
I curated a custom swag box that surpassed expectations while coming in under budget, resulting in a remarkable cost savings of $200. This carefully crafted package was not only easily branded but also contained a selection of practical tech and administrative items tailored specifically for attendees. By delivering a high-quality and useful assortment within budget constraints, I ensured that every recipient received a memorable and valuable keepsake while maximizing the event's impact.
EVENT PROJECTS
Event Project No. 2
(Venue Selection)
Request:
Recommend 2-3 venues in Washington, D.C. located near the DCA airport, convenient to public transportation, and within walking distance of nearby restaurants. The venues should have:
● a meeting space for 150 people
● two breakout rooms to accommodate 50 people each
● in-house catering for breakfast and lunch for 150 people
● in-house audio/visual for all three meeting rooms
Response:
I provided recommendations for three venues that offered a unique event experience while satisfying essential meeting needs. Each venue was carefully selected to accommodate a multitude of event room set-ups, ensuring flexibility and versatility for various activities and agendas. Additionally, these venues offered opportunities for attendees to unwind and enjoy themselves after the workday had concluded, enhancing the overall event experience and fostering a memorable atmosphere of relaxation and camaraderie.
Event Project No. 3
(B2B Industry Conference)
Request:
Prepare a proposal for an annual conference “special feature” off-site experience called ”Day Aways” which are field trips that must be interactive, engaging, and provide a learning opportunity that aligns with 1 of 6 organizational research areas. The excursion should accommodate up to 50 guests, cannot exceed 3 hours, and may not cost more than $50 per person.
Response:
Enthusiastic about the project, I strategically selected four out of six organizational research areas and meticulously curated off-site activities to infuse the conference with excitement, inspiration, and camaraderie among attendees. Each activity was thoughtfully chosen to generate a sense of anticipation and foster connections beyond the conference room, ensuring a dynamic and memorable experience for all participants.
